URBANE GIVES BACK 

Our mission is to uplift and enrich a community of youth that has been stricken with unfortunate circumstances. 

 

“I believe that children are the future, teach them well and let them lead the way, show them all the beauty they possess inside, give them a sense of pride, to make it easier…” 

 

This line from Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Love of All” has stuck with me since I sang it in the choir at my 6th grade graduation. 

 

As a child, I experienced multiple tragic & unfortunate events that were out of my control, it all started with that one day in first grade, when I was taken from school and put in foster care. This caused severe trauma in my and my siblings’ lives. It was because of the few positive experiences that were so pivotal, that afforded me the opportunity to escape the life that many others have succumbed. 

 

In light of this, I want to be a pillar of inspiration and a catalyst of change in the lives of young  people at risk. Offering enrichment activities, workshops, mental health, clothing, grooming  and hygiene products wrapped up in a dope experience, ultimately equipping the youth with the essential tools necessary to succeed in today’s society.
